What Is Kit Consulting?
Kit Consulting is a program funded with 300 million euros from NextGeneration EU funds, managed by Red.es, under the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service. The same bodies that already promoted the Kit Digital with the aim of subsidizing the implementation of digital solutions to achieve a significant advance in the level of digital maturity, now go a step further with Kit Consulting, adding artificial intelligence tools, data analytics, and cybersecurity, among others. It is designed to support SMEs with between 10 and 250 employees through the granting of what they have called digital advisory vouchers.
What Services Does Kit Consulting Include?
Kit Consulting includes a comprehensive catalog of advisory and implementation services covering fundamental areas for business digitalization. Artificial intelligence, although prominent, is just an integral part of this set which also includes:
- Advisory on the installation and use of artificial intelligence tools for integrating AI solutions into business processes.
- Data analysis for decision-making, both basic and advanced services to improve the management and analysis of large data volumes.
- Training and implementation in cybersecurity techniques, including basic and advanced preparation, as well as assistance in obtaining relevant certifications.
- Digital transformation strategies aimed at achieving the complete digitalization of business processes and operations.
Grant Amounts and Requirements to Access Them
How can your company access this grant? Depending on the size of the company, advisory vouchers can range between 12,000, 18,000, and up to 24,000 euros. However, to qualify for these grants, SMEs must meet certain requirements:
- Have a tax domicile in Spain
- Be considered a small or medium-sized enterprise; that is, companies employing fewer than 250 people, whose annual turnover does not exceed 50 million euros or whose annual balance sheet does not exceed 43 million euros
- Be registered in the census of entrepreneurs, professionals, and withholders of the State Tax Administration Agency or its equivalent in the Regional Tax Administration.
- Not be in a crisis situation, be up to date with tax obligations and Social Security contributions, and not be subject to any recovery order for aid previously declared illegal by the European Commission.
In preparation for the launch of Kit Consulting, the authorities will make available to applicant SMEs an automated processing system, with the aim of reducing bureaucratic procedures and the documentation to be submitted, thus speeding up the granting deadlines once the application period begins in June.
Who Are the Digital Agents?
The advisory services included in Kit Consulting will be provided by qualified digital advisors. These professionals will be authorized, in addition to implementing advisory, analytics, and cybersecurity services, among others already mentioned, to sign service agreements with beneficiary SMEs and must meet strict criteria, such as minimum annual turnover and being up to date with their tax and social obligations.
